Durham Consistory & University Assembly #218 Donate to the Charity: Families Moving Forward

Under the leadership of Overseer Linwood Lane and Organizer and Overseer Charlotte Evins, the Upper Piedmont Area had  a successful quarterly meeting in Durham at Zafa Temple No. 176 on June 10, 2017.   This meeting was a wonderful opportunity for the UPA members to make contributions of canned goods and other non-perishable items for donation to the Durham community.

The members of Durham Consistory #218 and University Assembly #218 collected additional items and  donated the  canned goods and other non-perishable items  to Families Moving Forward located at 300 North Queen Street Durham North Carolina.

Erik Springer, the Development Associate, was most thankful for being chosen as the charity to receive the  donations.  Durham Consistory #218 and University Assembly #218 selected Families Moving Forward because they helpUPA Genesis House 15  to provide families with children a stable, safe, and loving environment while they are in the temporary crisis of homelessness.

The members that visited Families Moving Forward and delivered the canned goods and other items were as follows:  CIC GIG Bruce Daniel; LLR Joann Mitchell; PCIC GIG Joseph W. Burwell; SP Derek Burgman; PCIC GIG Samuel Whitted; PLLR Annie Hamilton; and LL Antoinette Burwell.
